Don’t let the hair fool you, I’m a professional. I write content for social media, email newsletters, and the web. Plus I’m highly adaptable and love showing my creative side.
Writing is my passion.
Currently, I write professionally for the marketing team at a mid-sized university. I consider this my first “real” job, but I’ve been working up to this position for nearly a decade.
This is some of the stuff I do
Writing
Whether it’s for the web, social media, my work-in-progress novel, or any number of D&D campaigns, I’ve been writing for a while. I even spent a little while as a creative writing major.
Design
One of the things that has the longest timeframe on my resume is a volunteer book design gig for my university’s undergraduate literary journal. I designed three editions while I was on the team.
Photography
For a while I thought I wanted a career in photography. I used my babysitting money to buy my first DSLR at the start of high school and I took lots of photos before I was motivated by “the ‘gram.“
Campaigns
I have a BA in advertising and an MBA. I spent a lot of time in school and I have a few decent projects to showcase as a result. I have a couple for advertising and a couple for social media.
Coding
This is a relatively new thing for me. While I’ve been messing around with HTML and CSS since my MySpace days, I’ve been taking some time to learn new things like Javascript and Swift.
Other Stuff
I really like trying new things and adapting to new environments. From video editing to language learning to hands-on arts and crafts projects, I’m always down to try something new.
